Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (KHNP) is Korea’s largest nuclear power generation company, producing approximately 30% of the total electricity generated in Korea through clean energy sources such as nuclear, hydropower, pumped storage, photovoltaics, wind power, and fuel cells. KHNP’s total power generation in 2025 is expected to reach approximately 195 TWh, more than 2.5 times the Czech Republic’s total power generation.
Based on its outstanding power plant operation technologies and business capabilities, KHNP is expanding its business beyond Korea to become a global energy leader.
In June 2025, KHNP secured the Dukovany nuclear power plant project in the Czech Republic, bringing its cumulative nuclear power export achievements to a total of six units.
KHNP is also emerging as a leading player in the global hydrogen business sector. The company has completed the basic design of the world’s largest 10 MW nuclear-powered clean hydrogen demonstration facility and is currently constructing the plant with the goal of completion in 2027. In addition, KHNP is operating 268.4 MW of fuel cell facilities and is actively developing businesses in the renewable hydrogen sector.
